Washington Trucking Associations

Programs

Drug and Alcohol Testing

WTA and DISA have been partnered since 2009 to provide WTA members with consolidated DOT solutions for a higher standard of compliance. DISA provides an online platform comprised of consolidated DOT services that relieve the administrative burden for companies while making compliance programs more effective and easier to manage. DISA’s DOT compliance services deliver a single-source compliance management tool for companies of any size.

Storm Water Program

WTA has partnered with NES, Inc. to develop and manage our new Storm Water Program. This program is designed to assist WTA members to comply with the Washington Department of Ecology’s Industrial Stormwater General Permit (ISGP). The ISGP requires industrial facilities, including the trucking industry, as of January 1, 2020, to obtain permit coverage in order to discharge stormwater from their property. The goal of the ISGP is to ultimately protect water quality and maintain beneficial use for our waterways.

2023 Scholarships

Since the inception of this program, over 245 scholarships totaling more than $175,000 have been distributed to deserving applicants. Annual grants of $500 to $2000 for academic and vocational scholarships will be awarded by the Washington Trucking Associations to eligible students who are related to an employee of a current WTA member. The scholarship fund is sponsored by the Suppliers Conference of the Association. All proceeds from the Frank Riordan Memorial Golf Tournament and the WTA Eastside Golf Classic are donated to this scholarship fund.
