The Washington Truck Driving Championships (WATDC) is a competition of professional truck drivers hosted each year by WTA’s Safety Management Council. The WATDC competitors compete in eight different equipment classes: straight truck; three-axle; four-axle; five-axle; sleeper birth; tank truck; flatbed; twin trailers; and step van. During the WATDC, each driver will have a chance to demonstrate their driving and inspection skills, knowledge, and professionalism through a series of tests. The drivers will undergo a written examination, pre-trip inspection test, and a driving skills test. The winner of each equipment class will be eligible to represent the State at the National Truck Driving Championships, August 16-19 in Indianapolis, IN.
