2023 WASHINGTON STATE PATROL INSPECTION DEMONSTRATIONS

The Washington Trucking Associations is hosting a series of in-person CMV inspection demonstrations. During these events, Washington State Patrol Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officers will walk through the process of conducting a level one inspection and provide insights on how inspectors prepare for upcoming national enforcement blitzes.

Each year, WTA hosts an annual Call on Washington (COW), where members travel to Washington, D.C. to meet with the Washington Congressional Delegation. COW is an opportunity for WTA’s membership to engage with Washington’s elected officials on specific trucking issues and to work closely with our national affiliate, American Trucking Associations. This is a unique chance for our members to see the inner workings of the legislative process at the federal level and to build relationships with their elected members of Congress.

SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE

DOT SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE ESSENTIAL WORKSHOP

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Safety & Compliance Essentials Workshop will cover a full range of DOT regulations, including driver qualifications & files (49 CFR 391), hours of service (49 CFR 395), drug and alcohol testing (Part 40 & 49 CFR 382), vehicle inspections and maintenance (49 CFR 392 & 396), CSA, and industry best practices. The workshop is taught by leading trucking industry safety professionals from WTA’s Safety Management Council Board of Directors. Applicable for Safety Managers and Administration.

*Lunch is included with the registration fee.
