PRESENT
Vocational Scholarship Program
Since the inception of this program, over 246 scholarships totaling more than $175,500 have been awarded to deserving applicants. Grants for vocational scholarships will be awarded by the Washington Trucking Associations (WTA) to eligible/qualifying students. The scholarship fund is sponsored by the Allied Suppliers Conference of the WTA. All proceeds from the Frank Riordan Memorial Golf Tournament and the WTA Eastside Golf Classic are donated to this scholarship fund.
Recipients
Recipients of Vocational Scholarship Awards may use funds to attend a trade school offering training in Diesel Mechanics, Truck Driving, or other transportation related trade.
Stipulations
Recipients of Merit Scholarship Awards may use funds to attend accredited colleges, universities, or community colleges and must be entering a field within the transportation industry.
Submissions
Applicants may submit an application for a Vocational Scholarship. Applications can be received throughout the year and will be reviewed on a quarterly basis.
